Med-O-Med, Cultural Landscapes of the Mediterranean and the Middle East is a cooperation platform integrated by 23 countries, focused on the sustainable development of the natural and cultural heritage, and to promote the intercultural encounter, coexistence and peace within the region. This Platform consists of four networks and inventories that highlight the unique heritage of the Med-O-Med area: botanical gardens, centers of plant diversity, cultural landscapes and sustainable initiatives.
Med-O-Med aspires to making the development of Islamic countries in these regions compatible with the preservation of their environment and heritage. It aims to set up projects involving maximum participation by regional social and public agents, with total respect for genetic sovereignty and the cultural identity of the local populations, all within an inter-cultural and a multi-disciplinary approach.GUIDELINES FOR PROJECT SUBMISSIONS
