A partnership for social and environmental regeneration

On the occasion of Earth Day, on the 22nd of April 2026, the High Atlas Foundation and the Bouregreg Med-o-Med Gardening School have officialised a strategic partnership in favour of environmental education and the ecological restoration in Morocco. During a ceremony that reunited students, educators and local community partners, both organizations signed an official partnership agreement and jointly led a tree planting activity, symbolising their common roots and commitment for a greener Morocco.

Organised at the Gardening School, the event started with an opening ceremony, followed by the formal signature of the partnership agreement. The morning went on with a participatory planting activity, mobilizing students, members of the HAF and volunteers, illustrating concretely the  commitments made.

Community based vision 

This partnership is part of a shared vision that seeks to reinforce tree planting initiatives and ecosystem restorations. It includes, in particular, technical support from the High Atlas Foundation in matters of plant nursery management, plant production and planting practices as well as support in participatory approaches and capacity building.

The Bouregreg Med-o-Med Gardening School has officialised a strategic partnership in favour of environmental education and the ecological restoration in Morocco.

The agreement also seeks to develop professional skills in green jobs by promoting learning through practice and facilitating the integration of young graduates through field experiences and mentoring programs.

In this frame, the Gardening School will make its site available to welcome national and international initiatives while boosting native plant production via expanded nursery facilities.

The students will be fully involved in the planting actions within the schools, associations and public spaces. Furthermore, the establishment will contribute to the economic viability of the program through income-generating activities such as the sale of plants.
