CenteRs oF PLANT DIVERSITY

“Centers of Plant Diversity”  is a term created in this analysis, which aims to include all  institutions working in matters related to plant diversity in any way, regardless of them being public or privately owned. In this directory we have included institutions devoted to research and conservation, as well as other whose activities are related to education, recreation and the like. We have deemed appropriate also to include Research Centers, Universities, Botanic Gardens, Gene Banks and some specific Public Parks. All types of institutions have been added to this list, even if they have not botanic gardens, because they are places were potentially botanic gardens could exist in the future, due to their common priorities and lines of work, although they have different approaches.
