The Arts Walters Museum in Baltimore will welcome the exhibition Paradise Imagined: the Garden in the Islamic and Christian World, form the 30th June 2012.
The exhibition shows the art of gardens and the cross-fertilization of garden imagery between the East and West as well as the garden as a repose and recreation place through the different cultures.
In the different illustrations from the Walters’ collection Museum, it is displayed the exchange between the Islamic and Christian worlds in the late medieval and early modern eras.
Furthermore, the garden is showed as an expression of love, spirituality and philosophy through the garden imagery and metaphors.
