A garden under the rain

“The garden often wears a mantle of fine rain

Of a striped (Yemeni) fabric

And it inspires souls with desire to pause there, and sit.

When the breeze brushes it with its hand, we imagine

Its branches are dancing girls swaying

Dressed in green striped robes”.

Abu Marwan Ibn Razin (11th century)
