Interview with Faissal Cherradi, our heritage expert

‘Faissal Cherradi, consultant architect to the Moroccan Ministry of Culture and specialist in earthen architecture and fortifications, has proclaimed, throughout his long career, a saying in restoration: bring the monuments back to life.

Cherradi strongly advocates that the purpose of rehabilitating monuments and architectural sites has to be improving the living conditions of people living in these areas and argues for recovering heritage training activities and cooperation activities between countries.
