Rosa foetida var. persiana (Lem.) Rehder

Deciduous shrub that can reach up to 1.5 m, with short branches. The stem is well armed with thorns. Dark green pinnate leaves (5 to 9 leaflets). It has abundant globose flowers, simple (some, few) and most of them extremely double, golden yellow, not recumbent. It flowers only once (May-June), but is abundant in bloom. Populations of this plant have been found in six localities in the province of Albacete, including La Felipa (Chinchilla de Monte-Aragón) and a large population in El Robledo.
